Here's an easy way to configure your controller without using option codes. Go to the Character Select Screen and pick your characters in a one- or two-player game. After you choose your characters, press and hold Start. When you fly onto the stage, a configuration screen will appear.

This trick requires a six-button controller. While the Capcom logo is displayed, press Down, Z, Up, X, Z, Y, B, C or Down, C, Up, A, A, B, B, C.

When the game begins, you'll only be able to use special attacks. Normal punches and kicks won't work.

Turn on the game and wait for the opening cinematic sequence. When the blue Street Fighter II logo appears, get ready. As soon as the buildings in the background start to fade out, press DOWN, Z, UP, X, A, B, C on controller one.

On a one player game when you're about to fight the first guy, press start on the second player control. There should be a message that says: A New Challenger Is Approaching! Make the second player pick the person that you would have fought. Beat him and it will count as you beat the computer! You can do this throughout the whole game!

When the Battle Mode screen appears that enables you to choose either Match Play or Elimination Rules appears, press Down, Z, Up, X, A, Y, B, C on Controller Two. You'll hear a chime if the code worked. When Battle Mode begins, you'll be able to choose the same World Warrior twice!
